Couples Tribute: Diana & Chris
When Diana and Chris were planning their wedding day, they knew they wanted to escape the everyday hustle and bustle of Staten Island. They fell in love with how you felt when you entered Snug Harbor; you were instantly surrounded by history, architectural elements and lush beautiful, gardens.
Their wedding day had all the classic elements with some rustic touches that gave it a twist. Diana and Chris let the vibe of the Snug Harbor give them inspiration for their wedding day. They played off the architecture, wood, and natural greenery of the grounds.
They began their day with a beautiful, very intimate “First Look”. The smile on their faces to see each other for the first time on their wedding day was a breathtaking moment. Danny their photographer, from Olli Studios captured the emotion perfectly.
Their ceremony took place in the Tuscan Garden surrounded by family, friends, and their dog Copper.
Diana looked stunning in her wedding gown from R.K Bridal while the rest of the bridal party was in blush and navy blue.
Copper looked dapper in his bow tie as well.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the Tuscan Garden.
As a DIY element Diana and Chris incorporated for guests to sign Jenga game pieces to write well wishes or little notes to the couple.
Danny their photographer, from Olli Studios captured beautiful shots of Diana and Chris and their bridal party on the Snug Harbor grounds.
Diana and Chris kicked off their reception in the Upper Great Hall by sharing their first dance in front of guests to La Vie En Rose the version by Daniela Andrade.
Diana and Chris wanted a clean, rustic look for their reception.
The centerpieces, created by Carroll’s Florist consisted of wooden birch boxes with white roses, hydrangeas and baby’s breath.
The entire day you could just see how much love surrounded Diana and Chris, the smiles on their faces, especially during their parent dances brought us such joy.
We love how Diana and Chris never stopped smiling during their wedding day.
At the end of the evening guests were given favors made by Chris’s sister which consisted of cucumber lime aroma beads in white satin bags.
Diana and Chris shared this piece of advice with us for our future couples
“Be prepared for the unexpected to happen. But don’t stress out about it. Just take a few deep breathes and roll with it. Everything will work itself out. The most important thing on that day is for the couple to take in the experience and just have fun. The day goes by fast so soak in the moments!”
Congratulations Diana and Chris, we could not have been happier to have you share your special day with us at Celebrate at Snug Harbor. A special thanks to Danny from Olli Studios for their breathtaking wedding photos.
