A Golden-Hour Celebration at Snug Harbor: Quinn and Jack

On May 17, 2026, Quinn and Jack said “I do” at Celebrate at Snug Harbor. Surrounded by historic architecture, lush gardens, and the people they love most, their celebration brought their vision of a timeless Italian garden party to life. With a golden-hour ceremony in the Tuscan Garden, thoughtful personal details, and a romantic atmosphere that felt both effortlessly elegant and uniquely theirs.

Living in New York City, Quinn and Jack wanted a wedding venue that offered a sense of escape without making it difficult for their friends and family to get there. From the moment they toured Celebrate at Snug Harbor, they knew they had found what they were looking for.

“We truly felt like we were transported to somewhere far away,” they shared. “The beautiful old-world architecture, the nature, and the lush gardens were perfect for what we envisioned.”

The venue offered the best of both worlds: the feeling of a destination wedding, with the convenience of staying close to New York City. Quinn and Jack held both their ceremony and reception at Celebrate, taking full advantage of the venue’s distinct spaces.

Their ceremony and cocktail hour took place in the Tuscan Garden during golden hour, creating a naturally romantic setting as the sun began to glow across the gardens. Afterward, guests made their way into the Great Hall for the reception, transitioning from an intimate garden celebration into an elegant evening indoors.

While Quinn and Jack didn’t choose a traditional wedding “theme,” their design choices came together to create a cohesive aesthetic inspired by the venue itself.

They described the overall feeling as “historic Italian garden party vibes,” with florals and decor selected to complement Snug Harbor’s historic grounds rather than compete with them.

The floral arrangements were sculptural and textured, made up mostly of greenery with touches of deep burgundy and plum. The result was romantic and organic, with a rich color palette that felt right at home among the gardens.

The celebration continued with a fun-filled and unforgettable reception in the Upper Great Hall, beautifully catered by Relish Catering & Hospitality. Quinn and Jack, surrounded by their family and friends, spent the evening celebrating, laughing, and dancing the night away. The energy in the room was electric as guests filled the dance floor, creating memories and celebrating the newlyweds with an incredible outpouring of love and joy. From the lively atmosphere to the heartfelt moments shared throughout the evening, the reception was the perfect reflection of their love and the wonderful community that surrounded them on their special day.

Quinn and Jack planned their wedding without a traditional wedding planner, instead working closely with the coordinators at Celebrate to make sure every detail was in place.

They also embraced DIY projects in a big way. From save-the-dates and invitations to wedding programs, table numbers, place cards, the welcome sign, bar menus, and guestbook and memorial table signs, they created many of the paper goods and details themselves.

“It was certainly a lot of work,” they said, “but it was a labor of love that we were certainly really proud of!” Those personal details gave the celebration an added layer of meaning and made the wedding feel truly theirs.

One of the sweetest details of their wedding day came from their own love story.

Quinn and Jack met in college while studying Musical Theater at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and started dating during their freshman year. Not long after they began dating, Quinn sang a song in class called “Grow As We Go,” a song about going through life together through thick and thin. It brought tears to both of their eyes at the time. Years later, it became their first dance song.

It’s the kind of full-circle moment that makes a wedding feel so much more than a beautiful event, it becomes a celebration of the story that brought two people there in the first place.

When we asked Quinn and Jack what advice they would give to couples planning their own weddings, Jack and Quinn’s answer was refreshingly simple: “Don’t stress the small stuff. It can certainly be an overwhelming process, but at the end of the day it’s a party with all your favorite people!”

Everyone will have a great time because they’re happy to be there celebrating your love. When decision fatigue sets in or you find yourself lying awake thinking about the seating chart it can help to remember what the day is really about. “People will be remembering the celebration of your love way more than the font you chose for your programs.”
