The Neptune Ball at Snug Harbor: A Night to Remember

Each year, the Neptune Ball stands as one of Staten Island’s most anticipated and iconic celebrations and this year’s event was nothing short of extraordinary. Held on the breathtaking grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, the evening brought together community leaders, supporters, and guests for a spectacular night of elegance, celebration, and purpose.

As the main caterer for the evening, Relish Catering + Hospitality had the honor of hosting guests in the historic Great Hall, where dinner, dancing, and unforgettable moments unfolded beneath soaring ceilings and timeless architecture. The Neptune Ball not only celebrates the beauty and legacy of Snug Harbor, but also supports its ongoing mission of culture, nature, and community.

Guests began the evening with a lively cocktail hour on the Annex Lawn and Music Hall steps, featuring an exceptional spread by Relish Catering + Hospitality. Passed bites included tiny baked potatoes with sour cream and caviar, lobster vol-au-vent, smoked trout pavé, and beef tenderloin with horseradish gremolata, alongside creative options like carrot fondant brochettes and more. Each bite was thoughtfully crafted, delivering a culinary experience that delighted every palate.

As the Neptune Ball continued into the evening, guests made their way into the historic Great Hall, where the celebration truly came to life. Beneath soaring ceilings and surrounded by timeless architecture, the space set the stage for an elegant evening of dinner, awards, and unforgettable moments. From heartfelt speeches to lively energy on the floor, every detail came together to create a night to remember.

Dinner began with a fresh hot house salad of salanova greens, spring roots, blossoms, and citrus vinaigrette, followed by thoughtful selections by Relish Catering + Hospitality. Entrée options included a vegan artichoke cake with rainbow quinoa, baby cauliflower, and saffron broth, as well as salmon sott’olio with lemon gremolata, asparagus, and new potato soubise.

The atmosphere was elevated by the stunning décor and florals by Flora and Dean, who transformed the space into a lush, immersive setting. Their design brought together elegance and creativity, enhancing every corner of the event and creating a truly memorable ambiance for guests to enjoy. From the beautifully styled tables to the seamless flow of the evening, every detail came together to create an unforgettable experience.

 

The night continued back outside at the Music Hall, where guests enjoyed an energetic after-party filled with music by the Cause and Effect Band. With an ice cream bar by Eggers, plenty of dancing, and a lively atmosphere, the celebration carried on under the stars, creating a fun and memorable close to an incredible evening.
