Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Gardens, a proud Smithsonian affiliate, offers visitors of all ages the opportunity to experience the performing arts, visual arts, history, and more. If you’re looking to have family friendly and noteworthy experiences this summer, look no further than Snug Harbor. Some new and exciting events to keep track of include the Edible Island Market & Tasting Pub, an Evergreen Walk through the gardens, as well as a New Year’s Eve Day Party for families to enjoy together!

Edible Island Market:

On December 2nd, wine and dine your way through a market full of delicious local and regional treats to give this holiday season! Since the farmer’s market season has ended, the Museum is bringing these artisanal tastes, bites, and gift-able take-homes indoors! Specialty items from the purveyors of mouthwatering edible goods, expertly curated by Staten Island Advance Food Editor, Pamela Silvestri, will be for sale. Some spectacular features include signature dressings, raw honey, gourmet pastries, kosher artisan chocolates, and more!

Evergreen Walk:

End the year with a wonderful evergreen walk on December 30th. Stroll the campus with us and see the different types of broadleaf and needle leaf evergreens growing at Snug Harbor. The walk includes the Pond Garden, the New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden, Tuscan Garden, and White Garden.

New Year’s Eve Day Party:

On December 31st, between 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, ring in the New Year at the Children’s Museum! Celebrate with music, games, crafts, and light refreshments. Count down to 2018!
